I don't know how JPMorgan Chase knew that I would spend $200 on Botox in Argentina, but it did. It's great that banks and credit-card companies are getting better at discerning which payments are fraudulent and which are legit. Credit-card fraud protection is still far from perfect, but there's no denying that the technology is improving. So I reached out to some credit-card companies and academics to learn more. But it's cool that companies really are making fraud detection better, especially in a world where fraudsters themselves are constantly getting better.

☆ A new generation of airships is taking to the skies

It’s an airship, and French aeronautics company Flying Whales hopes its hybrid-electric, helium-lift vessel will change the shape of sustainable transport. Flying Whales' airships, pictured here in a render, could access remote locations without roads, railways or airports. That’s why most companies, including Flying Whales and LTA Research, are using helium, which is non-flammable. Prentice is also the founder and president of BASI, a Manitoba-based company specializing in airships adapted for cold climates. Flying Whales expects to test its first airship at the end of 2025, with commercial operations beginning in 2027 once the airship is certified.

Trei universități belgiene au început, luni, o campanie de testare în masă în rândul elevilor, ca parte a unui studiu larg ce urmărește o mai bună înțelegere a transmisiei noului coronavirus în școli, potrivit The Brussels Times, citat de g4media.ro. Mii de copii au folosit primul dintr-o serie de teste de salivă în cadrul studiului derulat de Universitățile Liège, Louvain și Université Libre de Bruxelles. Circa 2.400 de elevi din Bruxelles și Valonia vor fi supuși unor teste săptămânale pentru noul coronavirus, pe parcursul unei perioade de șase săptămâni, ca parte a studiului menționat. Acesta este susținut de Federația Bruxelles-Valonia, instituție responsabilă cu educația în regiunile vorbitoare de limba franceză, precum și de institutul federal de sănătate publică Sciensano. Sunt testați, totodată, circa 200 de profesori și personal școlar, reprezentând 72 de clase.
